LINK TO CANON HISTORY: http://marvel.com/universe/Potts,_Pepper ALIGNMENT: Neutral Good PERSONALITY: At first glance, Pepper Potts is the perfect image of the modern day professional woman. She is successful, independent and has never needed anyone else to help her live. However, this picturesque image isn’t all that there is to her. It takes a special kind of woman that can not only put up with the daily antics of Tony Stark, but can almost keep up with him on an intellectual level. Being in a secretarial pool of candidates, Potts only received her job at Stark Industries after she’d pointed out an accounting error that had been made by Tony himself. After spending years as his personal assistant, Stark realized the value of her integrity and Pepper was promoted as CEO of his company. The woman lives up to the spice of her nickname. Though graceful under pressure, she will not hesitate to add her input, or rather her cheeky wit, to her conversations with friends, family and her former boss and boyfriend. Having to make her own life and come from nothing, Pepper is very proud, though willing to admit to her shortcomings. She refuses to allow anyone to make her feel inferior and will not hesitate to stand up for herself and others. Despite her brazenness, she certainly has her softer side. A romantic at heart, she secretly embraces her femininity and takes pleasure in the fantasy of love and everything that it brings. Of course this romanticism is tinged with realism, after spending years of dating men who only ever saw the surface of her and nothing more. She understands its limitations and expectations. It’s this softer side that allows for her to empathize with others and why she is so opposed to violence. Another pillar of her personality is her fierce loyalty. Though she is careful of who gets her loyalty and trust, you can be sure that Pepper is someone who would stand by your side, even if everyone was against it. Having so many people judge her simply by her looks, she is careful to not do the same to others. She uses her own careful judgement to assess others and refuses to do anything without having a sound reason why she shouldn’t. As strong and sure-minded of a woman that she is, her one weakness will always be Tony Stark. Like most women who meet him, she had fallen for him almost as soon as she began working for him. While she sometimes feels that he makes her life a little more difficult, he is someone that she knows she couldn’t live without. His current occupation and his choices are 95% responsible for the current stress in her life. Despite his reputation, she feels like she has seen and knows the real man that Tony Stark can be, which is what draws her to him. ASSETS: Being who she is, Pepper has a strong head on her shoulders and even though for the past year of her life she has been dating the infamous Tony Stark and recently living with him, she has her own modest fortune. As CEO of Stark Industries, she monitors and has invested her money. LIABILITIES: Despite how much she tries to keep control over her heart, Pepper’s biggest weakness is Tony. Though she would never admit it out loud, or to him (ever), he is the knight in shining armour that she has always wanted. He is her kryptonite. INVENTORY: The clothes on her back and her blackberry.
